What does the per-foot price include?
Installation, takedown and storage are included at every published rate. We supply commercial-grade Wintergreen C9 LED lights, attach a clip on every bulb, and set a timer for dusk to 11pm. After the season, the lights come down, are tested and labeled, and go into storage until next season.
We supply and own the lights; you pay for the season. That makes the comparison straightforward: you are considering a seasonal lighting service with January already in the plan. When comparing another quote, check who supplies the lights, who owns them, whether a timer is included, what happens if a strand fails, and whether removal and storage are additional charges.
How does the 50% deposit lock my rate?
The rate is determined by the date your 50% deposit is paid. Before October 12, 2026, the first-installation rate is $6.50 per foot. From October 12 through November 4 it is $8; from November 5 through Thanksgiving on November 26 it is $11; after Thanksgiving it is $14. The date windows include the dates stated as “through.”
For example, if your written quote covers 200 feet and you pay the deposit on October 11, the installation price is $1,300 before applicable sales tax. The estimated 50% deposit on that amount is $650. A November installation does not change the locked per-foot rate. We confirm the final quote and available installation date before you pay.
Asking for an estimate, entering a date in the calculator or choosing a color does not lock a price or reserve a crew. You can request the free measure without a deposit. When you are ready to go ahead, the quote explains the agreed scope and payment arrangements.
How much to install 200 ft of Christmas lights?
For a 200-foot layout, first installation costs $1,300 at $6.50 per foot, $1,600 at $8, $2,200 at $11, or $2,800 at $14. Installation, takedown and storage are included. Applicable sales tax is additional. The deposit payment date determines which first-installation rate applies.
These are arithmetic examples for a chosen length, not an average price for a particular home style. A 200-foot number alone does not tell us whether the run includes a porch, garage, side returns or multiple peaks. We measure the edges you actually want decorated and put those runs in the scope. Reinstallation of 200 feet of our stored lights is $900 at $4.50 per foot.
What changes the total price?
The main calculation is the measured footage multiplied by the applicable per-foot rate. Choosing only the most visible front runs can produce a different total from outlining the front, sides, garage and rear. Gables, porches and separate buildings need to be identified in the plan rather than assumed to be part of one simple roofline.
Stories, steep pitches, access, existing outlets and the condition of the attachment area matter when we review the work. We do not apply an invented story multiplier in the calculator. The team confirms the actual scope and anything needing separate attention in writing. Tree, bush, wreath or other extra requests must be reviewed separately; they are not automatically included in the roofline price.
What does reinstallation cost next season?
Reinstallation of our stored lights is $4.50 per foot, including installation, takedown and storage. For 100 feet that is $450; for 150 feet it is $675; for 200 feet it is $900, before applicable sales tax. No escalating deposit-date schedule has been specified for that reinstallation rate.
Tell us if you want to change the roofline or add an area next season. We will confirm the new scope before you assume that the same footage covers it. If you have lights from another installer or your own retail strands, ask the team to assess the request rather than assuming they qualify for the stored-light reinstallation rate or our seasonal repair guarantee.
What if a bulb or strand fails?
We guarantee a fix within 48 hours for our lights during the season, weather permitting. Keep those three details together when you compare service: the 48-hour commitment, that it applies to our lights, and that the crew needs weather conditions that permit the repair.
You have the same team to contact after installation. Send the location of the problem and a ground-level photograph if possible. You do not need to climb onto the roof to diagnose a fault for us. January takedown is a separate planned part of the seasonal service, with the date agreed in your quote.
How do I get my exact price?
Start with your address and a description of the roofline you want lit. Four daylight photos, one from each corner of the home, help us see the shape and access. Take them from the ground. We can discuss colors, existing power and any HOA or shared-property approval that needs to happen before work is agreed.
Your free on-site measure establishes the actual footage. The written quote records the scope, total price, applicable tax, deposit, installation date and takedown arrangements. There is no minimum job and no obligation to accept the estimate. If you prefer a small front-eave layout, say so—we will plan around the runs you choose.
