Start with the date that matters to you
Tell the team if your goal is a family visit, a business event or the Thanksgiving holiday. That helps frame the scheduling conversation, but it does not reserve a date. The crew needs to review the property, scope and availability before confirming installation.
A quote request is the beginning of that conversation. You can ask for the free measure without a deposit or obligation. Leave room to choose colors, identify the roof edges and review any HOA or shared-property requirements.
The 2026 price-change dates
The first-installation rate is $6.50/ft before October 12, $8/ft October 12–November 4, $11/ft November 5–Thanksgiving on November 26, and $14/ft after Thanksgiving. Installation, takedown and storage are included, plus sales tax where applicable.
The date you pay the 50% deposit locks the rate. An installation in a later window does not raise that locked rate. A request for a quote or a free measure does not lock it, so confirm the written quote and deposit arrangements if a price deadline matters to you.
What to prepare before the measure
Have the address, color ideas and the areas you want decorated ready. Four daylight photos from ground level can help show the front, sides and access. Tell the team about gutter guards, gates, steep areas or existing outdoor outlets.
For an HOA, rental or commercial property, find out who approves the decorations and who coordinates access. A clear contact and an approved scope help keep the scheduling conversation focused.
A price deadline is not an installation guarantee
A deposit cutoff determines the per-foot price. It does not promise that the lights will be up by a particular holiday. Your actual installation date is agreed directly and recorded with the quote. Weather and property access also need to be considered.
If the season is already underway, ask what dates remain available. Do not assume that a price still appearing in the schedule means a crew is available on your preferred day.
Plan January at the same time
Our planned takedown window is January 2–15, with the date agreed in your quote. Installation, takedown and storage are included. The team tests and labels the lights before storage so you can discuss the next season’s layout later.
Reinstallation of our stored lights is $4.50/ft. You can start planning another season early, but a future appointment still needs confirmation. Keep any home or gutter changes in the conversation before the next layout is agreed.
Keep the booking steps separate
Think of the process as a short sequence: request the measure, agree on the layout, review the written quote, then decide whether to pay the deposit. Each step answers a different question. The measure establishes the footage; the quote records scope and dates; the paid deposit locks the rate.
If you are comparing options, ask for the same roofline in each quote. A front-only layout and a full outline are not directly comparable, even when both use C9 bulbs. Include takedown, storage and in-season support in that comparison so you know what the full season involves.
Before the crew arrives, confirm gate access and any property instructions with the team. There is no need to move onto a ladder or roof to prepare. If you notice a property change after the quote—a new gutter guard, blocked access or a roof repair—tell the team before installation so it can review the plan.
